Maddie Menz
Maddie is originally from the great state of Ohio, but is happy to become an honorary Kentuckian. While gaining her Bachelor of Arts in History at American University, she immersed herself in the museum field. She has assisted with large-scale memorials such as the World War I National Memorial and held positions at The United States Holocaust and Memorial Museum, the National Portrait Gallery, and the Lee-Fendall Museum and Gardens, to name a few. These experiences led her to Scotland’s University of Glasgow, where she gained her Master of Science in Museum Education while collaborating with Historic Environment Scotland and interning at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Maddie’s passion in museum work is to unearth the stories that have not been told while teaching the truths in history.
In her free time, you can find her listening to true crime podcasts, crocheting another blanket for an unsuspecting loved one, or exploring cities all over the state. Staff member since 2023.
