Alyssa Ollier
Digital Archivist
As the Digital Archivist, Alyssa is responsible for creating, maintaining, and sharing KHS’ digital resources and collections. She has always been fascinated by the way books and manuscripts embody history, and she loves using new technology to help others have transformative encounters with library materials. At KHS you can usually find her digitizing items from the archives, adding to the online collections, or helping patrons in the Martin F. Schmidt Research Library.
Though Alyssa grew up in a suburb of Chicago, she’s considered Kentucky her home since she was an undergraduate at the University of Kentucky, where she studied English, Latin, and history. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from UK and a Master of Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington, with a specialty in Rare Books and Manuscripts Librarianship. In her free time, she enjoys visiting historic churches, studying medieval manuscripts, and trying new varieties of tea and coffee.
