Boyle County Public Library launches Historical Treasure Hunt featuring KHS historical markers

Danville, Ky. (June 1, 2021) – The Boyle County Public Library officially launched its Summer Reading Program 2021, “Tails & Tales,” including a “Historical Treasure Hunt” featuring Kentucky Historical Society historical markers.

Participants must visit the library to pick up a hiking kit (includes a drawstring bag and water bottle, while supplies last), with a map of historic markers in the Kentucky Historical Society’s marker program. Participants will visit each site, then return their map to the library to be entered for a chance to win a Family Annual Village Pass donated by Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill!

The program runs throughout the summer, June 1 – July 31. Drawing will be held after the conclusion of the Summer Reading Program. Visit the Boyle County Public Library’s website for more information.
