April 17-23 is National Volunteer Appreciation Week

April 17-23 is National Volunteer Appreciation Week. And, here at KHS, we could not operate without the help of our volunteers. We wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge their ongoing service to the community and the commonwealth! While the pandemic has thrown a wrench into many lives, they stand by us and continue to support our mission. Without their skills, time, and dedication, KHS could not serve the people of Kentucky to its greatest potential. They help implement our programs, keep us organized behind the scenes, and assist patrons. We thank them for their commitment to KHS.

Hannah’s favorite day in school was always field trip day. The time when education was offered a different pace and attitude, freedom to choose one’s learning adventure. Her favorite places to visit were art and history museums, where learning became an inspiring experience. Little did she know that one day she would be the person responsible for facilitating that exchange for other young minds. Her love of learning and museums sparked a career that began at the Culbertson Mansion, State Historic Site, and has reached into the realm of science and industry at the Kentucky Science Center. Hannah’s primary goal is to provide all visitors great and small with an amazing and memorable experience utilizing excellent customer care. Staff member since 2020.
