A Mason and Poet Laureate of Freemasonry, Rob Morris lived here in 1854 when he wrote "The Level and the Square," the best-loved of over 400 poems which earned him the laureateship. He was also the Master Builder of the Order of the Eastern Star, an international fraternal order.
