Lexington Municipal Airport at Glengarry Field was dedicated on July 12, 1935 and later re-named Cool Meadow Airport. It was located on the site of a Civil War Union army encampment and skirmish on Glengarry Farm. J. Blythe Anderson
leased the farm to the city for use as an airport. Cool Meadow Airport ceased operations in the mid-1950s.
