Boone County Courthouse The Old Boone County Courthouse was completed in 1889 for $19,740. The Renaissance Revival structure was designed by the McDonald Brothers architects of Louisville and built by the McGarvey Brothers of Cincinnati. The courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 as an Element of the Burlington Historic District in Boone County.
Boone County Courthouse The courthouse was originally topped by a large clock tower. It was replaced by a small cupola and bell tower in 1898. The county hired Samuel Hannaford and Sons of Cincinnati to design & oversee the project. The courthouse annex was designed in 1959 by Northern KY architects Betz, Bankemper, & Associates and was repurposed for a community center in 2017. Dedicated May 12, 2022
