2/9/2026 - A Journey Through Time: 12,000 Years of Kentucky Homes (Grades K-2)

Join the Kentucky Historical Society for an exciting and interactive Virtual Student Experience (VSE) on Monday, February 9, 2026! This FREE event is designed for elementary students in grades K-2. Students will explore how Kentucky homes and communities have changed over time by comparing your home with those from the past!

2/9/2026 - Innovation & Industry in Kentucky (High School)

Date: Monday, February 9, 2026; 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM ET

Let the Kentucky Historical Society help spark student ideas with a virtual tour of the Great Southern Exposition. Students will learn how social and economic changes in Kentucky at the turn of 20th century inspired innovation and fueled industrial momentum!

Join the Kentucky Historical Society for an exciting and interactive Virtual Student Experience (VSE) on Monday, February 23, 2026! This FREE event is designed for students in middle and high school.

Help students commemorate Black History Month with the Kentucky Historical Society by experiencing our exhibit, A Kentucky Journey. Students will hear stories of resilience from the Kentucky frontier through the Civil Rights movement and see the impact Black Kentuckians had on our state’s history.

Ever wondered what secrets lurk behind those mysterious "Staff Only" signs at a museum? In this VSE, we will have the opportunity to explore just that! Led by a museum professional, students will gain access to our object storage to see our treasure trove of Kentucky artifacts!

4/13/2026 - The Old State Capitol: Classical Inspirations (Middle School)

Students will explore and be inspired by the architectural marvels of the Greeks and Romans, just as Gideon Shryock was when designing the Old State Capitol!
