Revolutionary Ties

This rotating exhibit is displayed in the Martin F. Schmidt Research Library, located on the second floor of the Kentucky Historical Society's Kentucky History Center.

Although Kentucky did not become a state until 1792 - well after the end of the Revolutionary War - the region and its people have a significant presence in early records. The collections displayed here showcase just a few of Kentucky's surprising ties to the American Revolution.
