The flyer celebrates America's 250th birthday, Wilmore's 150th birthday, the 35th anniversary of the Thomson-Hood Veterans Center, and the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Featured attractions include a 360-foot Vietnam Wall Memorial, the Cost of Freedom Memorial, the Global War on Terror Memorial, Huey helicopters, military vehicles, food, and kids' activities. On June 11, a public escort of the memorials travels through Nicholasville and Wilmore. June 12–13 is open to the public, with an opportunity to meet veterans including World War II veterans. On June 13, 250 veterans, including POWs/MIAs and their families, will be honored. Veterans are encouraged to register at Wilmore.org or scan the QR code.
