April 1-4, 8-11, 15-18, 22-25, 29, 10 am - 4:00 pm, Wednesday - Saturday — “Revolutionary Threads”. 229 East Main Street, Georgetown, Kentucky. 502-863-6201.

This is an exhibit of uniforms worn by Revolutionary War American soldiers. It is a traveling exhibit sponsored by the Transylvania Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The exhibit will be up until April 29. 

 

April 17, 6:30 pm — Mo Bell, Zoë Zamora. Ward Hall, 1782 Frankfort Road (U.S. 460W), Georgetown, Kentucky. 

Enjoy the music of local singer-songwriters in the open air on Ward Hall’s historic property. 

 

April 23, 6:00 pm — “Elijah Craig: More Than Bourbon”, Dr. Joe Early, Jr., Professor of Church History, Campbellsville University. Great Crossing Baptist Church, 1061 Stamping Ground Road, Georgetown, Kentucky. 

Rev. Elijah Craig is famously connected to the creation of bourbon. His legacy was more than that. Dr. Joe Early will talk about the biography of Craig that he is writing in which he points out Craig was known for than his distilling enterprise. He was a bi-vocational Baptist preacher. When he arrived in Fayette County (present day Scott County), Kentucky, Craig, in addition to being minister of Great Crossing Baptist Church, was a distiller, a miller, an advocate for education, and a paper and rope manufacturer.
