When you think of genealogy, you think of family. Locally, there are many families as influential to our region as the Clark family. The Clark name is on everything: bridges, schools, cities, neighborhoods, streets...the list goes on and on! But who was this family whose name is so prolific? This program centers on the Clark family, and by way of Locust Grove, the Croghan family, and how they made their mark nationally during the American Revolution; as well as locally, as they settled in Louisville to raise their families as brand-new Americans. Ronnie Dreistadt serves as the Director of Education of Historic Locust Grove. Previously, Dreistadt worked at the Kentucky Derby Museum for 26 years, as well as the author of two books: Bluegrass: The History of a Vanishing Landscape; and Wicked Tales from the Kentucky Derby. He lives in Sellersburg, IN with his wife and three children.
