Boone County Celebrates America's 250th Anniversary

This event is a free community gathering and will include live music, exhibitions, food & an exciting fireworks show.

This year, our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Here in Boone County, we’re marking this historic moment with a community celebration that brings people together to honor our nation’s history.  

Boone County is working alongside local partners, including the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Boone County Public Library, and the Boone County Historical Society. Together, we’re recognizing this milestone and celebrating the history we share as a community.

Boone County Fairgrounds

Join us on Saturday, June 20, at the Boone County Fairgrounds for a free, family-friendly celebration. From 4-10 pm, residents of all ages can come to enjoy an evening filled with activities, entertainment and quality time together, including: 

• Fishing derby
• Live music
• Kids' games and activities
• Community and vendor booths
• Fireworks to close out the evening
