Olivia McCants

Museum Programs Coordinator

Olivia McCants is an avid history and music fan who hails from Shelby County, Kentucky. She is a lifelong admirer of Daniel Boone, the Constitution, and pioneers, giving rise to her childhood dream of living in a log cabin. Homeschooling gave Olivia the flexibility to delve deeply into history and develop a love for museums. She began her museum career at the Ark Encounter where she discovered the joy of serving the public in an educational setting. As a child, Olivia benefited from wonderful museum programming, and hopes to give the same meaningful experience to guests who visit KHS. She graduated from Asbury University with a B.A. in History and a Music minor in 2021. She is a classically trained artist, pianist, and singer, and loves sharing art and music with others. Olivia cherishes time with her family and is forever grateful to them for taking her to forts and historic homes. Staff member since 2022.
