Dr. James Bartek

James Bartek received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Kentucky. He has published articles in the New Mexico Historical Review, Military History of the West, and North & South Magazine. He taught American military history at the University of Kentucky for many years and previously worked as a research associate on the Civil War Governors of Kentucky Digital Edition at the Kentucky Historical Society. Staff member since 2022.
