Delaney Thomas
Delaney Thomas hails from Arizona but relocated to Kentucky in 2022. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 2020 with a BFA in Art and Visual Culture Education, specializing in Museum Studies. She also holds a Master's degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University. Though her family originally comes from Ohio, her grandmother moved to Arizona in 1947 with her parents, Leo and Laura Whitman, and ten siblings in a converted school bus. Delaney feels more at home in Kentucky, as it brings her closer to her Appalachian roots. With eight years of experience in museum and informal education, she previously served as the Marketing Coordinator at the Living Arts & Science Center, where she also hosted their STEM after-school program and led field trips. She taught art at the Boys & Girls Club of Tucson and various other organizations throughout Arizona. Additionally, she was a Lead Discovery Guide at The Children's Museum of Tucson and a part of the Visitor Services Team at the Tucson Museum of Art. Delaney is thrilled to join the KHS Team!
