We Are Taking Nominations for Kentucky History Awards

The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) is accepting nominations to honor people and organizations for their work in local and state history. Deadline for 2018 Kentucky History Awards nominations is 4:30 p.m., Thursday, June 7. KHS gives these annual awards to honor work to promote the preservation, awareness and appreciation of state and local history. Awards are available in several categories, including service, education and publications. Awards also honor a volunteer organization, public history intern, organization and individual long-term contributions to the field. Anyone can make a nomination and KHS accepts self-nominations. Download a nomination packet. KHS will honor recipients in a special evening awards ceremony Friday, Nov. 9, at the Old State Capitol in downtown Frankfort.
