Summer Camp and Public Programs Update

Although the Kentucky Historical Society has been closed to visitors since mid-March, our staff continues to think of new ways to reach our audience while they are healthy at home. In an effort to do so, we are taking our summer programs online with virtual tours, camps, and live lectures! As we develop new experiences, we will add them to the KHS Events webpage at https://history.ky.gov/events/. Virtual summer camps will come with a “camp kit” full of crafts and activities based on a weekly theme. Our museum educators will meet with campers daily via an online platform to lead activity instruction and tour the museums. Kits can be picked up at the History Center or shipped for an additional fee. Camp registration begins on May 15.
