Pardon our Dust!

The Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History (TCCKH) will undergo several building improvement projects over the next several months. As a result, public access to A Kentucky Journey and the Kentucky Hall of Governors and exhibits within may be limited or unavailable during this time. We anticipate a full closure of A Kentucky Journey as of August 15 so that curatorial staff can safely relocate objects from the exhibit and the contractors can complete work without interruption.

The Martin F. Schmidt Research Library, Old State Capitol, and the Kentucky Military History Museum will be open as usual, with full access to all exhibits in these locations. New rental bookings at TCCKH through November 15, 2022, are currently suspended.

While we strive to remain open to the public as much as possible, we are currently unable to offer a full in-person viewing experience as our staff has already begun the task of relocating objects. We are offering visitors a discount of $3 on tickets both online and at the door. In the event of a full closure of the TCCKH exhibits, we will notify guests through our website, Facebook, and Twitter pages. Please check these sites or call (502) 564-1792 to confirm before you visit. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
