3rd Annual Capital City Gingerbread House Competition

KHS is once again hosting the 3rd Annual Capital City Gingerbread House Competition presented by Capital City Activity Center/Meals on Wheels Greater Frankfort! Visit the display before the Christmas Parade on December 10. The exhibit will remain on display through December 31 at Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History. To enter the competition email marketing@fccoa.com by Dec. 7th.

This exhibit raises money for participating nonprofits.

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

Capital City Activity Center/Meals on Wheels Greater Frankfort and KHS invite you to compete in the Third Annual Capital City Gingerbread House Competition. Build your own edible gingerbread house to be on display at Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History Dec. 10-Dec. 31.

Important Dates to Remember:

  • Dec. 5th: Deadline to arrange alternate drop-off time, by noon. Email marketing@fccoa.com.
  • Dec. 7th: Registration deadline, by noon. Email marketing@fccoa.com.
  • Dec. 8th: Drop off house entries at Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Dec. 9th: Judging of all categories except People's Choice Award at 3:00 p.m.
  • Dec. 10th: Opening day of the Gingerbread House display at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History. Please visit www.history.ky.gov for operating hours and daily admission rates or call 502-564-1792.
  • Dec. 16th: Last day to vote for People’s Choice Award at participating locations.
  • Dec. 19th: Donation report due. Email the amount your house raised to marketing@fccoa.com. Include two witness signatures. Non-profits keep their donations. Businesses and other categories that benefit the Center drop off donations to Capital City Activity Center/Meals on Wheels Greater Frankfort located at 202 Medical Heights Drive.
  • Dec. 21st: People's Choice Award Winner Announced on Facebook@frankfortsac.
  • Dec. 31st: Last day of the Gingerbread House display at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History.
  • January 3rd: Pick up your house or email Julie.kemper@ky.gov to arrange another time or give permission for it to be disposed of.
