One of Georgetown's most fascinating and macabre stories revolves around a young woman found mutilated along Highway 25, bundled in a tent and unidentifiable. Tent Girl was subsequently buried in the Georgetown Cemetery under a haunting stone with her description in the hopes that someone might be able to recognize her.  Thirty years later, the mystery was solved.
