Ashley Buzzanca

Museum Program Coordinator for Student Programs
Ashley knew she wanted to work in museums since middle school when she competed in Ohio History Day (a National History Day affiliate). That love of history has led her to study such diverse topics as Ancient Greece and Rome, Japan after World War II, the Neutrality Proclamation of 1793, the Johnson’s Island Civil War prison, and Italian-American cuisine, among others. Ashley is also well-versed in Cleveland history, after interning and working at the Cleveland History Center on and off since 2016. She is thrilled to be at the Kentucky Historical Society and to learn about Kentucky history as she encourages the next generation of historians who will participate in National History Day. Ashley received her BA in History and Classical Civilization from Loyola University Maryland and her MA in History with a certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Delaware. Staff member since 2022.
