Great Revivals: Kentucky Decorative Arts Treasures

Take a Trip through Treasure

The Old State Capitol, itself a treasure and work of art, provides the perfect environment in which to see these treasures from the Kentucky Historical Society’s collections. Trace the changing tastes of Kentuckians in architecture and the decorative arts throughout the 19th century through furniture, art and household accessories from five stylistic design eras: Federal, Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, Rococo Revival and Aesthetic.

This exhibition was made possible by the Kentucky Historical Society Foundation and the Kentucky Treasures Endowment Fund, created to fund the purchase, preservation and presentation of Kentucky treasures.

Included in main admission.

Hours: View during regular Old State Capitol tours. Saturday: 10:30 a.m., noon, 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Walk-in weekday tours resume in March. Until then, groups of 10 or more may book a tour by appointment. Call 502-564-1792.
