Jodi Lewis
It was the luck of the Irish – literally – that brought Jodi Lewis to KHS. “I went to Ohio University preparing for a career in foreign service,” she explains. “Then I did a year studying abroad in Ireland and fell in love with the idea of making history my career.” After a few occupational zigzags – first, she studied medieval history at Trinity College in Dublin, then it was on to a stint in Greenville, S.C., teaching conservation education at a zoo followed by a job conducting conservation assessments – she landed her first museum post at the Frazier Museum in Louisville. Jodi spent the next 10 years in family programming, working her way up to lead Frazier’s education and outreach team before joining KHS as Director of the Learning Services team. These varied experiences left her with the ability to look at history education from many angles and bring a fresh perspective to KHS’s educational activities. Staff member since 2019
