Claire E. Gwaltney
Claire works with teachers through professional development opportunities. A history lover, she chose a career in museums because she wants to help make history, art and culture accessible to people who may not be able to visit to exotic locations. After several internships and part-time posts at Chicago museums, she worked four years with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History in Jackson. Claire loves to travel and her trips often have taken her to historic locations, including China’s terracotta army, the birthplace of Saint John Paul II, and, now, Frankfort, Kentucky. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Old Dominion University and a Master of Arts in art history from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
