One of Alli’s favorite things about history and museums is watching people engage with the information they may not have known before and had the “wow” moment that follows. As the Community Engagement Coordinator, Alli gets to see the impact history can have on communities throughout the Commonwealth through the historical marker program and the ExploreKY phone application. Even though Alli is not originally from Kentucky, it has by far been her favorite place to live and learn more about. Through the duties of her position, Alli is able to get glimpses into different subjects and help to celebrate the richness of Kentucky’s history. Alli holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Arts degree in museum studies from The George Washington University. She has worked with the National Air and Space Museum, the National Museum of Natural History and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum before returning to KHS, where she interned in 2017. Staff member since 2019.
