Save the date for the Kentucky Historical Society’s annual conference. Join social studies educators from around the state for two days of professional learning and networking! 

July 13: Kentucky History Education Conference 

It isn’t hard at KHEC to learn and share best practices for the social studies classroom! Featuring three concurrent tracks of sessions led by educators and content specialists from across the commonwealth. Participants will also visit with vendors from museums and educational consultants and explore the KHS campus in Frankfort. Grades K-12. 7 PD hours.

July 14: Experience History in Frankfort 

Join KHS staff for a day of exploring history in Frankfort. With special tours at KHS and other locations around town, we’ll reflect on Kentucky’s historical turning points and how those moments are viewed today. 

 

Call for Proposals

Do you have an innovative classroom practice or engaging social studies topic to share with educators? If so, consider joining like-minded teachers as a presenter at the Kentucky History Education Conference (KHEC). The deadline for proposals is April 14, 2023. Click here for more information.
