Historic Halloween Party

Join us for an evening of fun as we celebrate the spooky season with historic style! Bring your pumpkin from home for our Old State Capitol pumpkin glow and contest! We will have historic lawn games, photo opportunities, and booths showcasing some of Frankfort’s local historic “haunts.” Don your favorite costume and join our parade through the Capitol lawn.

4:45 – 5:00 pm - Paul Sawyier Public Library Reading of The Halloween Kid by Rhode Montijo

5:00 – 5:15 pm - Paul Sawyier Public Library Reading of The Good, The Bad and The Spooky by Jory John/Pete Oswald

5:15 – 5:30 pm - Paul Sawyier Public Library Reading of Scaredy-cat, Splat! By Rob Scotton

5:30 – 6:00 pm - “Thriller” Performance and Dance Along by The Kentucky Dance Academy

6:00 – 6:30 pm - Vendor Set-Up/Music Begins Passport and Pop Radio Stations

6:30 – 8:00 pm - Costume Parade & Community Trick or Treat

7:00 pm - Haunted by History Tour (fee based, RSVP required) /Final Call for Pumpkins!

7:00 – 8:00 pm - Pumpkin Glow & Pumpkin Judging

8:00 pm - Pumpkin Contest Winners (AND PRIZES) Announced
