Telling the Story – Native American Presence in Kentucky

Celebrate Native American History Month with us. Come and learn about the fascinating history and rich culture of the people who inhabited Kentucky long before Daniel Boone crossed the Cumberland Gap. Tressa Brown, of the Kentucky Native American Heritage Commission, will discuss the many cultural contributions Native Americans have made throughout the Kentucky’s history, as well as the impact of lingering stereotypes.

Interested in Native American culture from a young age, Brown works to promote recognition of Native American history and contributions to Kentucky culture.
