Screening of “The Last Gospel of the Pagan Babies “

Join us for a screening and discussion of Jean Donohue’s award-winning 2017 documentary, The Last Gospel of the Pagan Babies.  This film explores the rich history of Lexington’s queer community, which traces its roots back to the Civil War era.  Using oral histories, photographs, and videos, Donohue reveals the existence of a thriving subculture that flourished decades before fairness ordinances and Pride festivals. Following the screening, stay for a moderated Q&A with Associate Producer Jonathan Coleman, and Bob Morgan, one of the film’s central figures.  Come and join the conversation!

Please note:  this film is recommended for ages 18+.
