CANCELLED – Poems, Paint and Personality

This event has been CANCELLED out of safety precautions and a concern for the audiences we serve. Click here for more information.

What makes Kentucky, Kentucky? Explore the museum to find the distinct characteristics that make up the place we call home. While using a quill and ink, write an acrostic poem for KENTUCKY. Then express your thoughts and creativity within a painted shape of the state to compile a concrete poem.

Instructor: Megan Sauter

Cost: Pre-register for the special price of $5 per child plus one parent. Regular museum admission applies to walk-ins. Free for KHS members.

Registration recommended. Please call 502-564-1792 or email KHSeducation@ky.gov. Payment is due the day of the workshop.  Workshops begin by checking in at the front desk of the Kentucky History Center.
