Family Workshop: The First Kentuckians
Families will use artifacts displayed in our exhibit, “A Kentucky Journey,” to discover the people groups that lived in Kentucky before European settlement. They will experience Native American lifeways as they grind maize, harvest sunflower seeds, craft clay pots and play games. They also will explore the changes Native Americans experienced after contact with European settlers.
Best for ages 6-12, but all ages are welcome!
$10 per family – one adult and up to two children. $5 for each additional participant.
Registration required because of limited space. Call 502-564-1792, Ext. 4408.
