The Kentucky Historical Society operates three unique museum sites in downtown Frankfort that tell the story of our state's history.Current Exhibitions
The Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History houses "
A Kentucky Journey," an exhibition that takes visitors through 12,000 years of Kentucky history, and the
Toyota Kentucky Hall of Governors.
The Center for Kentucky History also hosts a variety of changing exhibitions in the
Keeneland Changing Exhibits Gallery, like "Civil War: My Brother, My Enemy," open June 2 through Dec. 8, 2012.
At the
Old State Capitol, visitors will enjoy "
Great Revivals: Kentucky Decorative Arts Treasures," an exhibition that highlights five stylistic design eras and the commonwealth's treasures from those times.
The
Kentucky Military History Museum has recently been renovated and currently houses "Kentucky's Military Treasures."

Traveling Exhibits
The
Museums-to-Go program, which has more than 25 exhibits available for loan to organizations that serve adult audiences, and the
KHS HistoryMobile, a 45-foot tractor-trailer, take Kentucky history to citizens across the commonwealth.
