Kentucky Folklife Program
The Kentucky Folklife Program was previously operated as an interagency program of the Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky Arts Council. It has recently been transferred to the Western Kentucky University (WKU) Department of Folk Studies and Anthropology.The Kentucky Historical Society continues to support the Kentucky Folklife Program through this partnership with WKU and the
Kentucky Arts Council (KAC). In addition, KAC has maintained its commitment to folk and traditional arts through the Kentucky Community Scholars Program, the Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Grant and other efforts to preserve the commonwealth's folk traditions, arts, relationships and culture.
