KHS helps kids and their families connect with the past through activities in Frankfort and across Kentucky. Young visitors to the KHS history campus can explore interactive exhibits or participate in
Camp ArtyFact. Kids across the state can take advantage of museum discounts and regional rallies as members of the
Kentucky Junior Historical Society. See the

For Adults
KHS packages Kentucky's heritage in programs of all shapes and sizes. Museum visitors can enjoy a guided tours of the Old State Capitol or self-guided tours of the Center for Kentucky History and Kentucky Military History Museum. The
Food for Thought luncheon series with authors and historians.
Family History Workshops teach genealogy research skills. Special events from the annual Boone Day celebration to the Governor's Derby Celebration feature a variety of activities to sample. See the

For Schools
KHS offers programs and services that help students learn about the past and support teachers in Kentucky history education.
Field trip opportunities include tour programs at each of the three sites of the KHS history campus. Students across Kentucky can participate in
Kentucky Junior Historical Society clubs and the
National History Day competition. Teachers can take advantage of professional development programs, order curriculum materials to use in their classrooms or apply for a

For Community Historians
KHS supports community historians through a variety of programs and services. Communities can bring KHS programs to their area by booking a
Museums-to-Go exhibit or sponsoring a
KHS HistoryMobile visit. Individuals and historical organizations can hone their research and interpretation skills by becoming a
Community Scholar, attending a basics workshop or joining the Historical Confederation of Kentucky. Grant funds available through the
Kentucky Oral History Commission and
Community History Program can help fund Kentucky heritage programs throughout the state. The
Kentucky Historical Marker and
Cemetery Preservation programs provide assistance to communities working to preserve and interpret their history.
