Facilities Rental

Have your next meeting or special event at the majestic Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, the headquarters of the Kentucky Historical Society. Two areas in the classically inspired, 167,000-square-foot building are available for rental purposes: the Brown-Forman Corporation Kentucky Room and Commonwealth Hall.

The Brown-Forman Corporation Kentucky Room & Cralle Day Garden

The 4,000-square-foot Brown-Forman Room is the perfect setting for workshops and lectures. This room is also excellent for meetings, seminars, receptions and dinners. The room is ideal for big or small events and can seat as many as 200 theater-style and up to 160 for a sit-down reception. Located on the first floor of the Center, the Brown-Forman Room is easily accessible, attractive, functional and private.

The Brown-Forman Room opens onto the Cralle Day Garden, a lovely green space in the heart of historic downtown Frankfort. The walled garden provides expanded space for your event and is bordered by Clinton and Ann Streets, the Center and the Old Governor’s Mansion, now the home of Kentucky’s lieutenant governor.

Hilary J. Boone Commonwealth Hall

Upon entering the Broadway entrance of the Center, visitors will see the central atrium with a formal staircase reminiscent of the staircase in the Old State Capitol. A green terrazzo stone map of Kentucky, with each county outlined in brass, dominates the floor of the atrium, lending significance to the name Commonwealth Hall. Measuring, 3,666 square feet, the area can seat up to 150 guests for a sit-down reception. Commonwealth Hall is an ideal setting for receptions and gala events.
