Man's camblet (cape), silk and velvet, c. 1855
Originally worn by Woodford County neighbors, these fine examples of period garments recently came to the Kentucky Historical Society from households two thousand miles apart. The cape belonged to Robert A. Alexander who pioneered in the breeding of the thoroughbred horse on Woodburn farm. Donated by A.J. Alexander.
