21st Century learning skills takes Kentucky to the next level
The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) builds a stronger Commonwealth by challenging and empowering its audiences to use history as a tool to understand and improve communities. KHS delivers programs and services that improve Kentuckians’ abilities to address crucial issues by teaching citizens to think critically using historical perspective and evidence-based analysis. With these tools, we can work together to develop creative solutions that strengthen our future.
The Kentucky Historical Society's educational opportunities are based on the use and analysis of historical collections (archival, material culture, art and the built environment) so that patrons will understand the concepts and methods of historical study – primarily through the promotion and use of 21st Century Skills: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration.
