The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in downtown Frankfort, the state’s capital, will serve as the main classroom space for the workshop. The Center for Kentucky History is centrally located at 100 W. Broadway in downtown Frankfort and is within close driving distance to the historic sites that will be visited during the week.
KHS has reserved a block of rooms at the Capital Plaza Hotel for $77+taxes/night. The hotel is in downtown Frankfort at 405 Wilkinson Blvd, within easy walking distance of KHS. Opportunities will be available for selected participants to contact each other to arrange a room share for the workshop week if they so desire. We encourage all participants to use this facility in order to promote a sense of community and camaraderie. Hotel amenities include complimentary parking and wireless internet access, an on-site restaurant and an indoor pool and fitness center.
