11:30am - 1:30pm1940 Census Lunchtime IndexingThe Kentucky Historical Society invites Frankfort to help index Kentucky’s 1940 Census records!
The 1940 Census Community Project is a nation-wide movement to index the recently released 1940 Census record images into a searchable format. Currently, Kentucky’s records are 45% complete, and the KHS Indexing Group’s goal is to reach 75% completion by the end of June!
The KHS library is hosting two lunch-time indexing sessions 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on June 22 and 29, and inviting all of Frankfort to stop by and help! The national 1940 Census Community Project is offering contests for the top indexing groups, and the KHS Indexing Group will award a special 1940 Census travel back to whoever indexes the most during the month of June.
