12:00pm - 1:30pmFood for Thought: “Kentucky’s Bookends to the Civil War: Maj. Robert Anderson of Fort Sumter”Don Rightmyer, editor of Kentucky Ancestors, will talk about Maj. Robert Anderson: Kentucky native, West Point graduate and commander of Fort Sumter in Charleston harbor at the beginning of the Civil War. He will discuss Anderson’s rich Kentucky family history and the path his life took from Jefferson County to the Civil War.
Reservations required by July 13. $18 for KHS members and $25 for all other patrons.
