During the Civil War in Kentucky, family lines were often the battle lines.

Created by the Frazier History Museum in Louisville with support from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Sponsored by Brown-Forman and Forcht Bank and media sponsors WKYT-TV, WLAP-AM and The State Journal.

Open to the public during the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History's regular hours of operation.

“I love Kentucky History!” That says it all for the Kentucky Historical Society, our members, our donors and many others throughout the commonwealth. We hear it all the time! Because we love Kentucky history, we invite you to a special celebration at Boone Day 2012:

-See the exciting new ways KHS is serving educators, students, researchers and communities throughout Kentucky.

-Be among the fi rst to discover Kentucky’s Civil War story, as told by the compelling exhibit, “Civil War: My Brother, My Enemy,” and a dynamic new Old State Capitol tour, “A Capitol Divided.”

-Hear from Ford W. Bell, president of the American Association of Museums, as he talks about the 21st century reinvention of museums and the role KHS plays in this transformation.

Kentucky history is making a difference in the state we love. Come and be inspired!

KHS History Showcase
Tour the Kentucky Military History Museum
“A Capitol Divided” tour at the Old State Capitol (Space is limited to the first 35 registrants)
(All tours begin at the Center for Kentucky History.)
Installation of Commemorative Bricks on the Pathway Through History

5:45 p.m.
Private viewing of “Civil War: My Brother, My Enemy”

6:30 p.m.
Dinner featuring traditional Kentucky fare

“The Reinvention of Museums in the 21st Century”
